1 Damage

Heh...Bugs will never stop annoying me
Today when i was trying to raise my Priest's level to 70 I realised that I was making only [red]1 damage point[/red]
Here's the proof:

Oh...I forgot to mention...Some minutes earlier, befor I realised my problem, I was talking to a Blood Elf Paladin [forgot his name] who said that he had his Warrior bugged, who was making 1dmg too...


PLEASE FIX THIS BUG AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, IT'S ANNOYING !

The bug I think will be fixed by the developer team not the admin team of Sanctus, btw these damage bugs can be fixed with simple gm commands..

Level down level up helps. Thats resets damage..... I'm not a GM now doN't knows all of the commands...

try to .modify level 69 | then levelup....it helps I think..

today i woke up with defense 0 and no the defense skill was gone

good there was jack and resetted my stats and gave me gold to learn all spells

problem is not all of them are that lucky
resetting is not working for everybody like it used to
zee, for example, didnt get the defence back

I was instance yesterday with Zee he had ~17k armor... btw 0 defense? lol.... I think its not work the resetting, try the learning or level down, up...the leveling thing fix a lot thing cause it resets the modifications on every level...( sry if my comment un-understandable

some skills were reseted.. i lost my bow skill..(only had 10 ) but the ones who sword and dagger skills went down take only 1 dmg..

Ok i haev the same problem with my warrior - Shaikhan- no defense skill and my swords skill was reseted to 0. And the 1dmg is really annoing...

Admin can u try to reset me to see if it works?

the 1 dmg comes from low weapon skill. you can check the combat log and see the following:

you hit *target* for 1 damage (glancing)

Yes Raven u're right. Now my damage is normal but i still havethe problem with my defense skill . And this is very nasty because I can't go to any instance because i receive only critical hits from mobs.

i have tried it yesterday ingame

when i use the levelup/leveldown procedure, the player gets defence back in the skill window, but the 1 damage hit its not solved (even i deal the 1 damage with the weapon from illidan and i couldnt fix that)

Then try to reset skills...there are a command for it, dont know now what is it. Player make a screenshot about his skills, then a GM(or Admin) make a reset, then learn the skills for the player as he had them...

i tried with the reset skills, it doesnt bring back, neither the defence skill, nor it improves the damage

Uhmmm yes I'm not gm here and now not on other server so I can't try the ways of fix. I'll try to get a server for few days and I set up the SVNcore, DB, and try to reproduce these bugs...btw I think it will be very hard to reproduce :-/

what can i say....im another one with the problem of damage...but i have friends on the server that werent affected by this bug....damn this is a smart bug.. ?? are machines going to conquer the world....is the world of warcraft in danger of beeing forever and ever bugged..?? this are the questions....ok now i'm going a little bit to farr......or not..??

and by the way the char in a level 55 shaman woman dranei..it is my sister's char..

Jhonny I thing GMs and the admins doing EVERYTHING to fix the bugs...just wait....

..and no WOW wont be more buggless maybe less buggless. Only patch (official) makes it more buggless cause they give out a new patch for example 25 new quests with 6 new flying mount and a new . Then the Ascent team must make it fast as they can cause everyone wants the new one, not the old one...thats the reason ....

i em sure that they are doing everithig......because the staff of sanctus is one of the best staff's that exists.....with a few exceptions...and i refer at gm's...but they are probably tired of all the complains on the server...and tired of all the noob's....and i think that is whay they react with aggresion and kick's......cia later

About the damage thing. I will say this one more time. Max skill (for level 70 is 350). But untill then , as you level up you gain access to higher skill rating.

For example ,on my level 40 rogue i have 200/200 swords skill rating (+ 10 from talents). This allowes me to fight level 40 mobs without damage penalty.

Now in case you don't have max skill for your level or you're not even close to the rating for your level simple math can tell you what level of mobs to kill without getting damage penalty.

350(max skill rating) : 70 (number of levels) = 5(skill rating/level)

so for example you have X skill rating. you do X : 5 =Y. Y represents the level of the mobs you can beat and not get dmg penalty.

Now let's apply this incredibly hard technique to check on the data from my rogue.

200 (skill rating) : 5 (skill rating /level) = 40 (level).
Considering i only had like 140 skill rating : 140 (skill rating) :5(skill rating/level) = 28(level).

if you tend to kill mobs far above from the level indicated by this formula above you will get the max dmg penalty. Meaning you will hit with 1 dmg at first but dmg will increase proportionally as you get closer with the skill rating to the one you need to not get dmg penalty for the mob

This is the first time i see this implemented on a freeserv. This is DEFINETLY blizzard stuff that we are talking about. One of the few i can apreciate it really works as intended by blizzard.

raven.....let's say you are right for a moment.....then how do you explain that i deal 1 damage to moobs with one level under me..??....wouldnt be right for me to deal farr more damage..??

and on the other hand.....this means that i have to kill moobs at the same level untill i upgrade??...because in some areas quests are finished before i get a new level.....and by the way i deal 1 damage to moobs with the same level with me here is the proff

jhonny. i doesn't matter what level is your char. what matters is the weapon skill ratings.
i see you are using a staff. open your skill ratings page (ussually K) and check your staves skill rating. that one you divide by 5 and you get the level on mobs wherre you can increase that particular skill
